Tyler Perry’s Madea has taken over Netflix and made it her NEW home! A Madea Homecoming, is his first comedy featuring the titular character since 2019’s A Madea Family Funeral. It also lands as the first Madea film on Netflix after a 12-movie run at Lionsgate. On, Wednesday the streamer dropped a trailer for the film which drops on February 25th, 2022!
Written, directed by and starring Perry, 'A Madea Homecoming' centers on the college graduation of Madea’s great-grandson. The celebratory moment is halted when hidden secrets and family drama threaten to destroy the happy homecoming.

Tamela Mann, David Mann and Cassi Davis Patton return with Perry to reprise their roles, joined by Gabrielle Dennis, Brendan O’Carroll, Brandon Black, Isha Blaaker. There’s also a guest appearance from Brendan O’Carroll, who suits up to play Agnes Brown.
Will Areu and Mark Swinton are producers. Perry is the executive producer.
It was said that Perry was putting an end to his no nonsense having, leading lady character Madea , which began on the stage .However, Showtime put into developing Mabel, a drama series created by Perry and Tim Palen that tracks Madea’s origin story.
