Bizarre Marvel Story ‘Madame Web’ Taps Dakota Johnson As Female Lead In Sony Universe Of Marvel!

Following the $2 Billion Dollar success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Sony aims to expand on their universe of Marvel characters as sources at Deadline say that Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades Of Grey) is in talks to star in the studio’s Madame Web movie. S.J. Clarkson (Jessica Jones, The Defenders) is on board to direct the pic while written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless.

In the comics, Madame Web is a paralyzed, blind, telepathic, clairvoyant, and precognitive mutant, allowing her to work as a professional medium. She was originally stricken with myasthenia gravis and was connected to a life support system designed by her husband Jonathan Webb, which included a series of tubes shaped like a spider-web.

Madame Web has been brought to the comic book pages in many different versions. One version particularly, being the grandmother of an iteration of Spider-Woman, so there really is not telling which version of Webb we will be seeing on the screen. All we can be is hopefully Sony doesn't lose there streak of box-office success.
