CritiX Choice: 2024 Fall TV Shows to Stream: What to Watch This Season!

As summer fades and the crisp autumn air sets in, TV enthusiasts can look forward to a bounty of new and returning series gracing streaming platforms this fall. Whether you're a fan of gripping dramas, hilarious comedies, or sci-fi escapades, the 2024 fall season has something to offer for every type of viewer. Here’s our curated list of some of the most anticipated shows we think should be streamed this fall:

Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist (Peacock, September 5)

A true-crime podcast that’s not about a terrible murder gets big-name talent for the adaptation, which chronicles a historic heist on the night of Muhammad Ali’s 1970 comeback fight in Atlanta. Kevin Hart stars alongside Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard, Chloe Bailey, and Samuel L. Jackson.

Tulsa King, season two (Paramount+, September 15)

Sylvester Stallone’s Mafia capo returns in this Taylor Sheridan–produced series. After successfully establishing a casino and a criminal operation in Tulsa (making himself the city’s “king,” if you will), Dwight “The General” Manfredi has now made a target of himself, as both the Kansas City mob and a powerful Tulsa businessman played by Neal McDonough look to challenge his rule.

Agatha All Along (Disney+, September 18)

In “Agatha All Along,” the infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road...

The Penguin (HBO, September 19)

Starring Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb (aka “The Penguin”), the DC Studios series continues filmmaker Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” epic crime saga that began with Warner Bros. Pictures’ global blockbuster “The Batman.” Developed by showrunner Lauren LeFranc, the series centers on the character played by Farrell in the film.

Grotesquerie (FX, 9/25)

A detective and a nun investigate a series of heinous crimes that seem personal, while grappling with personal issues and uncovering a sinister web that raises more questions than answers.

Teacup (Peacock, October 10)

"Teacup" is a horror thriller series inspired by the novel "Stinger" by Robert McCammon. Set in rural Georgia, the story revolves around a diverse group of individuals who must join forces to confront an unknown danger threatening their lives.

Dune: Prophecy (HBO)

"Dune: Prophecy," formerly titled "Dune: The Sisterhood," is based on the book "Sisterhood of Dune" by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. The series follows the Harkonnen Sisters, played by Watson and Williams, as they combat forces threatening the future of humankind and establish the Bene Gesserit.
