CinemaCon is officially happening in Las Vegas and on Monday night, during their presentation, Sony dropped some direct Spider-man news and presentations. But not only that, the studio also announced sequels to both Venom Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
Little is known about these films, but with the box office success of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, a sequel announcement was no surprise.
Ghostbusters movie, Afterlife director Jason Reitman has said that he planned to launch a new universe around the ghost-catching concept, layering in post-credit scenes to suggest just that. So it’s safe to say that Reitman should be returning as director.
The announcement came in the form of a mash-up reel, which included footage of the Whitney Houston biopic I Wanna Dance With Somebody, The Equalizer 3, never-before-seen clips from Tom Hanks’ A Man Called Ottoand Kraven The Hunter.
Also on stage as part of the presentation? Viola Davis, bringing the trailer for historical action drama The Woman King and David Leitch, who offered 15 minutes of Brad Pitt-starring, darkly comedic action thriller Bullet Train.
