Last night, The 76th Emmy Awards celebrated the best of the best in television from the past year, but The Bear, Shogun, and Baby Reindeer led the night with four wins each, Shogun in which, broke a few Emmy records along the way.
With 25 nominations total, and, when counting the Creative Arts Emmys, Shogun ended with 18 wins. During last night's ceremony, Shogun walked away with the Emmys for Drama Series, Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Hiroyuki Sanada), Lead Actress in a Drama Series (Anna Sawai), and Directing for a Drama Series (Frederick E.O. Toye), setting the record for the most wins by a show in a single season.
Breaking their own record from last year, The Bear took home11 EmmysA su and the Creative Arts Emmys and, while it didn't win Best Comedy Series over Hacks, it did take home Lead Actor in a Comedy Series (Jeremy Allen White), Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series (Liza Colón-Zayas), and Directing for a Comedy Series (Christopher Storer).
A surprise contender this year was Netflix's Baby Reindeer! They won Best Limited or Anthology Series, Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie (Richard Gadd), Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie (Jessica Gunning), and Writing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie (Richard Gadd).
